England announce squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

Morgan will captain England's unit in the World Cup
England have announced their squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup, 2015. Eoin Morgan, the experienced left-handed batsman, will lead the unit. Ian Bell and Gary Ballance have found a place in the squad. However, Ben Stokes, the Durham all-rounder, and Harry Gurney, the Nottinghamshire pacer, haven't been included.
England will depend on their able pace duo of James Anderson and Stuart Broad to fire on all cylinders on quick tracks of Australia. In the batting department, Moeen Ali, James Taylor and Joe Root will be expected to perform. Earlier, Alastair Cook, who has been England's ODI captain since 2011 was dropped from the set-up.
The squad will take part in a tri-series in Australia ahead of the mega-event. In the World Cup, England will take on traditional rivals, Australia, in their first game on February 14 at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
James Whitaker, the National Selector said: "I would like to congratulate all players on their selection and wish Peter [Moores], Eoin [Morgan], and the squad all the very best. Representing England in a World Cup is a huge honour and responsibility, something all the players recognise.
"There have been a number of promising performances from players in recent series, and it is important that this squad continues to develop their one-day skills quickly and players start to show the sort of consistency needed to succeed regularly on the world stage," Whitaker summed up.
