Steve Smith: India sledging Mitchell Johnson wasn't a wise move

Australian captain, Steve Smith, was all praise for his bowling attack, expertly led by Mitchell Johnson, for orchestrating a comfortable win on Day 4 of the Brisbane Test. With the victory, Australia took a 2-0 series lead in the four-match Test series.
"It's extremely satisfying. To be honest, it was a very tough first day and the way the boys came out and bowled on the second morning was outstanding," Smith said in the post-match press conference. "All the bowlers, to be fair, produced the goods for us. I think Josh Hazlewood was outstanding, Nathan Lyon came on and did a job here and there and Shane Watson built some outstanding pressure throughout the game as well," he added.
India began Day 4 at 71/1 and inexplicably collapsed to 143/7 before recovering to 224 all out. Mitchell Johnson, someone who the Indians tried to rile up, turned destructor-in-chief. "It(sledging Johnson) probably isn't too wise, is it? It was just outstanding the way he came out and batted in the first innings and took the bowlers on. I think it got them off their lengths a little bit and probably helped me out at the other end as well. Then he certainly turned it on today with that little spell and it really cracked the game open for us," Smith said.
Australia, in their chase of 128, lost six wickets and were only steadied by a calming fifty from out-of-form opener, Chris Rogers. "The wicket was still pretty good there. The boys were going after them to try and get the runs quickly tonight. There were no hiccups there because everyone's in good form and its all well. Hopefully we will get some more good performances in Melbourne," Smith said about the run chase.
When quizzed about the practice pitches' incident with the Indian team earlier in the morning, Smith added, "None of our players had any problems with those wickets. They're very good practice wickets. They emulate pretty much what you get out in the middle. That's what you want at your playing ground. I don't think any of our players had any problems with them whatsoever."
